"sub d toggle for "selected sub d" is possible?

Hello there,

There might be same topic in the forum but couldn’t find it so let me ask you :slight_smile:
_SubDDisplayToggle
this command turns all sub d display to box or smooth mode.
I would like to make the toggle for only selected models?
Is that possible?

no, per object is currently not possible.

Per viewport SubD display toggle is tracked here: RH-60257 SubD box/smooth mode per viewport.

I’m not sure we want to ever do this per object, as it would be very confusing between SubDs with creased edges, meshes, and SubDs in box mode. The inactive request is here: RH-67951 Per-object SubD smooth/flat toggle

I tried to lock objects to be not affected by Tab but wont work :slight_smile:
Fingers crossed for v9 :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

This would actually rreduce the distance between meshes and SubDs.
When rigid is a mesh, when soft is a SubD.
Kind a instant toggle per object from one geomtry to the other.
