Strange surface displacement artifact in block object

Hi, I’m seeing this strange displacement on the surfaces of the rendered view of a block object, only since I’ve applied a new material to it. There is not a problem with the material, it is used many other places in the model with no issue. It also was not a problem on this poly surface before, when I had a different material.

But then when I leave block edit mode, the surfaces of these panels go all wrong:

Again, this is the same instance of material as all the wood panels around this, so doesn’t make sense why this one polysurface would react differently.

Any help is appreciated

Turning off the displacement map in the texture seems to fix it…but still strange that it only affects the panels in this block object. Its like only the displacement map is being magnified to some enormous scale, but none of the other texture properties are

Could you export the object(s) that you are having issues with and post that 3dm file here?
