Standard Steel Beams

Hi,
I’m wondering whether there is a plugin or script available that makes it easy to input standard steel beam sections (Australia, UK, European etc.) or even allow the user to define specific section properties such as I section, Channel, Purlins etc. for buildings etc.?

I’ve seen an old script from 2015 for Rhino 4 but doesn’t appear to work in Rhino 5.

If you have that script you might want to post it and perhaps someone can check it for RH5 / 6.
Other than that, search for e.g. structural steel on www.food4rhino.com.

The script works well, well except for creating self-intersecting curves.

Just copy the steel.ini file to your rhino 5 system directory, drag and drop the rvb file onto an open rhino session and bath in the majesty.

C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 5.0 (64-bit)\System

Does this script work in Rhino 6? I tried it did not. TQ

I get an error on line 357

– Rhino.AddStartupScript Rhino.LastLoadedScriptFile

Can someone port this to R6?
