Sporph: What is a Point parameter, and why is the new Rhino 6 option ConstraintNormal missing?

Hi…,

is Sporph the same as the Rhino command FlowAlongSrf?

What is a point parameter, and where to get it? (Setting just a 3D point, doesn’t help here.)
Why is the option ConstraintNormal missing?

Yes. In fact if you type Sporph in the command line it will actually run the FlowAlongSrf command. I think originally the name was a portmanteau of SPherical mORPH.

The point coordinates need to be in Surface UV space, not world XYZ space. You can create UV coordinates from XYZ coordinates using the Surface Closest Point component.
