Splitting solid

Hello Guys,

I have created a bridge using the loft component and now I am trying to split solid into equal elements, but for now unsuccessfully :frowning: (attachment 1 - blue)

I also added a grey bridge which was created using polybeam component, but in this way sections are not perpendicular to curve. To sum up I want to divide blue solid and receive smaller solids as you can see in the next picture.

I would like to warn that every component that I found on this forum did not work.

Does anyone know how to do it? Any tips will be appreciated.

P.S. I have also a small problem, I can not figure out why in Grasshopper appears: “1. System. Exception: Error when deleting and inserting ShapeItem: The Brep geometry already exists”?
I hope that somebody knows how to fix it. It is really annoying…

Best regards!

I also attached a part of the bridge in Tekla view which I would like to split by vertical plane.

Hey David,
I used your component to split a cube with a surface. It works perfectly fine as long as the surface is flat. When I bend it I get an error.
I´d appreciate your help as I am ne to GH.

Thanks!
I need the lower part of the cube as a solid.

This component needs plannar geometry. I think in your case just “Solid Difference” would do the trick.

Yes, that is exactly what I need!! Thank you, you saved me a lot of time!
I was already doing weired workarounds, which did´t work properly.
