Im fairly new to grasshopper and I am trying to create a solar envelop for an urban environment that protects sun to certain parks and streets.
I have included an image as a reference for what I am trying to achieve, any assistance in achieving this would be greatly appreciated. 
Are you after some kind/variant of Waldram Analysis as used in NY?
No, Im looking for something that deals with direct sunlight onto the ground plane. I know it would use the solar envelope tool in lady bug but would love some guidance on this.
