Soap film surface

Hi there. for school, I want to make a surface that looks like this (see picture below). In Grasshopper, I want to start with 4 points (so a simple hypar surface).
Once you have soap film around the ropes, the ropes will curve / deflect a little bit (as you see in the photo with the orange arrows). Is it possible to do that in Grasshopper?

I tried using SpringsFromLine for the ropes in order that they curve a little bit… but I don’t think this is the right way.

Live Soap Film

Hi all, Does anyone know anything about how to replicate the behavior shown in Daniel Piker’s video ‘Live Soap Film’ Live soap film on Vimeo ? I’ve searched through the forums but can’t find an example of the live component in use, plus I imagine there might be some tricks in the generator of the mesh from the curves which I can’t quite understand. Thanks for any help or advice! Chris

[trefoil_mesh] trefoil_relax.gh (22.0 KB) Here’s how I approached this. I was separating the generation of the curve from the mesh relaxation. It is possible to do them both together, but then the forces keeping the knot curve smooth/repelled from itself need to be strong enough to resist the pulling in of the surface. I’d do this with Length goals and perhaps some bending too.
