my osnaps stopped working recently , i have tried restarting computer , resetting snaps turning them off and on as well as updating rhino . nothing seems to make a difference.

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Right-click on Rhino and choose Repair.

any other options ?
one thing I just noticed is that snaps will work if the item to be snaped to is already selected
is this an indication of something being turned off or unselected ?
