This is the official support and feedback topic for the rhino plugin SmartMenu, developed by CAD Projects Australia.
SmartMenu is a configurable, cursor-centred command interface for Rhino 8 that keeps frequently used tools close to your workflow. Organise native Rhino commands and custom macros into colour-coded groups, create favourites, and quickly switch between task-specific menus. SmartMenu also includes a context-aware command HUD that displays command options directly within the active viewport, reducing cursor travel and reliance on fixed toolbars. Menu layouts, colours, tooltips, groups and HUD appearance can all be customised, with setups easily backed up and transferred between computers.

Hi Developer, I was wanting Linear Array to put on one of your tiles. Can’t find it in menu or list of commands. Thanks, Mark
HI Mark, thanks for your interest in SmartMenu.
To add the linear array command to a smartmenu tile you can simply find the rhino linear array button and copy the macro into a custom SmartMenu tile and like magic the correct icon will be displayed.
I have added two MP4 files showing you how to do this.
The reason you cant find the linear array command in the SmartMenu command list is due to how rhino organises its commands and icons. In short they are a mess, spread over folders all over the application. some commands use logic from rhino versions many years old while the newer versions have a different pipeline. McNeel need to do a refresh there so lets hope it happens on Rhino 9.
I am working on some logic that will address address this issue and if it can get it working will be released in an update shortly.

I have implemented some new logic to the SmartMenu plugin that fixes the issue you identified and its now available in the rhino package manager. SmartMenu should update automatically to version V1.0.2
If it dosnt update automatically then just navigate to the Rhino Package Manager, click on the installed tab and update SmartMenu there.
You can disregard the workaround outlined in my earlier response as this new build “should” make all rhino commands display in the SmartMenu add command panel.
Let me know if you find any more commands that are missing and i will investigate.
