Mouse mark menu

I think it would be a great addition if, like Maya, Rhino had a kind of Mark menu, like a redesigned popup menu like the one we have now.

The Alias/Maya marking menu is patented IIRC…

Patrick, there is one being used . I saw it on this forum. Maybe if you dig to find it , you could try it. It was on a post somewhere a month ago. Not sure if it is only for the WIP or V8 ? —Mark

I looked on food4rhino. There are 2 versions

we have looked at this a few times, GH has a pie menu which is not a marking menu- but it’s nicer than the popup for Rhino IMO.

Yes, exactly! I agree. A pie menu within Rhino instead of the current popup would certainly be a upgrade.

The radial menu you mention is good idea but try the menu below, its even better than a radial menu.
I have used Radial menus in rhino for a while but they still left me longing a bit so I developed the SmartMenu plugin listed below.

To install just open the Rhino “package manager” and search for smartmenu to install.

Note there is another plugin called “smartmenu for rhino” listed on the food4rhino site but this is not my plugin, its an old plugin for Rhino 6 only.
