these are wonderful!
Have you ever considered making them as toys, similar to what playforever toys are doing?
I’d love to add these to my collection…
(I currently own and restored a 71 240z)
Thanks @theoutside ! Glad you like them.
Yes, I have. This one along with a couple of the others have been designed as scale models… but I need to start to build physical prototypes to see how they translate in real life…
I love Playforever – I have a Luft model. They are amazing.
That’s very cool. Love those. Is that a Nissan or Datsun?
In the US - Datsun, definitely…
I owned a '70 Datsun 2000 Roadster when I lived in CA…
Yeahh. Used to love the Datsun name, My dad used to have a Sunny B310 in the UK back in the early 80s. It was branded ‘Nissan Sunny’ but also had the name Datsun on the back!
datsun/ nissan same thing… datsun was the older name for us the US.
I restored a 68’ 1600 with my dad… first “real” resto we did together.
Is that a 510/Bluebird?
no the small roadster that predated the 240z. - (image below is not my car, but it’s almost identical to the one I had)
Ahh roadster – very nice. That must be/have been fun to drive… and restore.
It was a fabulous excuse to spend time with my dad in the garage for a few years.
Mine was a reconverted race car… rollbar, racing bucket seats, real magnesium alloy wheels…
I did all the bodywork and painted it bright turquoise…
Hmm… 35 years ago…
That looks amazing. How did it drive?
Oh, it was way cool with those wide (for the era) tires and pretty low to the ground. Still had the race cam in it, so no power under 3K RPM and above that it would take off like a rocket. Had a great time racing around on some of the the Bay Area foothills back roads. Got a few tickets with it…
