Sketchup to Rhino and VisualArq

Hi All,

I am new to the forum. I have been a sketchup user for the past 12 years and feel with current developments by Trimble and moving to subscriptions along with minimal development of the softawre over the past couple of years its time to move to something more robust. I have looked at revit, Archicad and vectorworks but feel I would be bogged down with the program especially after using sketchup. From what I have seen Rhino and VisualArq seem to be a good natural progression for Sketchup users. I was wondering if any members here come from a sketchup / Architectural background that might be able to give me some advice / insight about the transition.

Thanks in advance.

Stan

Hello Stan, I know that you posted this some time ago. And i don’t see any replies. I am just interested to know what the outcome of this was. Did you move to Rhino and Visual Arq? Like you, i love using sketchup. But the models are ‘throw away’. No good way to get nice documentation in layout. Still 4 years later. So curious to know about your journey.

tks
