Show a surface's UV direction

Is there a command to show a surface’s UV direction ? I am trying to set up A Panneling grid and when I offset my surface the UV direction is different from the original surface.

I can figure this out by changing second surfaces point grid to match the first one. I was just curious,f this is something I would find useful to see visually.

Hi Randy - the Dir command will show you the U/V/N directions temporarily (ShowDir in V6 WIP is a more persistent analysis mode type thing), and you can make a custom display mode as well with different color U and V direction isocurves.

UV Wires.ini (10.4 KB)

Thanks Pascal, I may have to send you to Downtown Spirits and get that Calvados. The ini file is installed where?

Hi Randy - use Options > View > Display modes > Import button to add the ini file as a new display mode- you can then use SetObjectDisplayMode to set individual objects to use that mode if needed, rather than the whole viewport.

Hi Pascal, That makes sense. I like ObjectDisplayMode. Thanks for the import info, it has been a while messing with WinRhinos options.
