When using the selection filter I can choose objects based on the filter by clicking on them individually or selecting all objects (Ctrl-A). Is it possible to select objects based on the filter when using a window box or crossing box?

Looking a bit further into this, you probably have the Rhino Options -> Mouse -> Selecting -> Allow window selection of sub-objects option turned off.
