Same Bug. [first time trying this command]
here after Select by Object name, clicking done or hitting enter freeze the computer.
[it then lets me quit Rhino, without the need to force-quit it]
Interesting. I’m unable to reproduce this bug in 5D74w on my machine (though I am testing on a machine running macOS 10.12). I am using the attached file…SelName-Test.3dm (46.4 KB)
Here is what I do:
Launch RhinoWIP 5D74w running in Italian
Open SelName-Test.3dm
Run _SelName
Click on myBox or myCylinder in the dialog.
The item is selected as expected (no crash). What are you doing differently? Can you reproduce the crash with the attached file? If not, can you please provide a file that demonstrates this behavior?
Hi Dan
your file also crash my Wip just the same as any other file. [I work in English]
And again the selection works, but once clicking the Done button Rhino crashes
Strange. Can either (or both) of you produce a crash dump report that we could look at? ie: when you start Rhino again, does it offer to submit a crash report? (I’m not seeing one on our pile).
Hi Dan
i have just updated to Sierra and now the SelName works without crashing
guess this is you couldn’t duplicate it, but it was definitely crashing when i was on OX10.11.6
Hi dan
I have already sent an accident report with the description, that is, _SelName (from command icon) after selecting the object name in Rhino dialog box closes.
If necessary I can do it again.
