Is there a way to create a longitudinal section along a curve, which displays a surface and the given curve. I will be using this section in piping to determine slope for the pipe.

There is no tool in Rhino that will create that automatically, but you could place vertical planes and get the intersections from those. Then rotate those to be in the same plane.

Hi Mirkus - if I understand what you need you can try this:
Project
your base curve through the objects
Make a line the length of the base curve
Flow
the projected curves from the base curve to the line.
Here’s an example from the thread Wim posted - is that what you mean?

The proposed solution by Wim is basically what I am looking for. The only issue would be that I would need to edit the curve in the section view - the two views need to be dynamic. The reason why i want to project a surface along a curve is so that I can edit that curve relative to the surface in a section view.
