python script editor window is stuck on a 2nd monitor that is no longer connected to my machine, not allowing me to access an existing script component unless I connect to a 2nd monitor and readjust the position.

Hi this might be a bit late but, I had the same problem. What helped for me is to go all the way to the left of the screen and see if you can reach the point where you can increase your window size of the component, dragging it to the left so it shows up in screen again. Hope this helps!
