Hi,
when saving a screenshot to file it is not possible to save the file with transparent background. There is an “options” panel, which is grayed out. Tested with TIF and PNG.

Run the command -ViewCaptureToFile (the command name has a leading dash). This will give you more options including saving with a transparent background.
