Safe frame for non active viewports

How can i display the safe frame for a named view in one viewport, while adjusting camera f.e. in top view and still see the safe frame in non active viewport?
Thanks!

My understanding, (not entirely familiar with all the rendering workflows) is that it’s only in the active viewport.

You can configure the Safe Frame to show in non-perspective views via Safe Frame Settings (Render menu > Safe Frame Settings). However, showing it simultaneously across multiple non-active viewports is not an option - it is tied to viewport activation by design.

Relevant commands:

  • SafeFrame - toggles the safe frame on/off
  • SafeFrameSettings (or Render menu > Safe Frame Settings) - opens options where you can adjust which viewport types show the safe frame

You could use the grasshopper components that interact with the camera and make your adjustments there while the save frame is on. There are plugins as well.. https://www.food4rhino.com/en/app/horster-camera-control-grasshopper
