Rotating on my Axis instead of Object..Frustrating

Hi guys,

I’m new on here so I wanted to say hello to everyone. I’m new to 3D modeling and chose Rhino to begin my journey because of the awesome community.

I believe I’m having a problem with my file. My perspective view has gotten messed up. When I try to rotate the object, it instead rotates my perspective, which prevents me from really continuing on in the project. This has happened before and I started over in another file? Did I mess up the configuration and axis point? Has anyone else had this problem?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hi Jesal and welcome to this forum and Rhino of course,

for your problem, you can run the command _4View two times in a row. Does that fix it ?

In general, we can help you faster if you post a file containing problematic geometry. This includes your views usually.

The _4View command does not exist on the Mac. Instead, run the command ZEA. This is an alias for View > Zoom > Zoom Extents All, and this will recenter your model in all of the viewports.
