Ring Modelling Workflow

Hi,
How would you guys approach modelling something like this?

I’m kinda of stumped! How do I get that interlacing that connects so smoothly in the bottom part of the shank? It’s better to use UV’s or to make some kind of sweep? I need to fit this type of mount onto a bigger stone which it’s also oval. I’ll leave the file down here if someone wants to give me a hand:

Anello Oidocrop.3dm (329.3 KB)

Thanks, cheers

@simon_falze I would model one of the sides with a slightly lower arm and higher arm, then rotate/copy the other and booleanunion them together. Then, I’d model the head separately and booleanunion again. Before using booleanunion, I always make a copy of the items off to the side, so I have the process I used to get to the final object. If you know how to, you might consider using recordhistory to see the effect of using rotate/copy and still make adjustments to the first piece.
