RhinoInside Failed to convert ModelPath in to Uri

Hi Kike, I have had these similar issues as well when I did the new update, I have switched my update channel to "Daily Builds (Work in Progress) and I can now get geometry pushed through. Will switching this have any major impacts on our workflow? Our team is very reliant on RiR and we need it to be working each day. Please let me know if this is a temporary switch until you release another build, or if it is a permanent thing that I should switch my whole team too. Obviously we were on “Public Release” before I saw your post to switch to "Daily Builds (Work in Progress). Please advise.

Hi @connor2,

There were a bug with models loaded from network shares, that is fixed.
I guess this was your case, so I will publish this fix into the Public Release and keep working with @yoseph to solve his problem that seems to be different.

Public Release 0.7 should be available already.

hi! @kike, I’ll check my folders location but I think that is not the real problem…
my file is stored in D:, not in C and my network server has more subfolder …could be the problm the number of subloder where I puted the file?

How long in characters is the path to the file?

D:\FILE lavoro momentaneo su computer\Colum 10test

45 characters

Is it a local copy of a workshared central model?
Do you mind sharing with me a near empty model that is failing on your side?

I was assuming it is a rvt file, is it a rfa one?

yes I could share with you a file… I could send a private message, ok?

Please use this form, and kike at mcneel.com as recipient.

ok, thanks. I’ll send the file.

my silence it was because i tried a seires of solutions

Maybe I found the solution… that came from the name of user that create the file… and I could observe that if I select detach from the central model, grasshooper doesnt’t work with a lot of different component like, for example, query types (and many other query componet).
I think that to resolve this situation it’ is neccessary to resolve “detach to central model”

Hi @yoseph,

There is a fix for detached models in the Daily channel, could you please test it?

Hi @kike, I am going to test immediatly the new update

@kike , it seems to work, I will keep testing the functions and update you soon. for the moment thanks a lot for your solution!

Thanks for the confirmation.

@kike Hi Kike, think the location of the model stored do matter, as i got same error msg, while working in live model which store in BIM 360 cloud server, while i tested to resave another model in my desktop drive as offline model, the error msg disappears and definition works fine, could you please advise how the problem can be solved?
