I’ve tried a few things I’ve seen here, on tutorials and as advised by the CNC cutter, but no luck…So hope you can help.
The CNC software (called Sophia) works great with solid works, but doensn’t like STEP files from Rhino. I will not recognize any geometry (plates or tubes).
The only way to make it work is to unroll (or make2D) flat surfaces, use PlanarSurf and make solid. But thats cumbersome and I would also like to order folded sheet.
Some things work a little better when I save down to rhino v4, and it also seems to work a little better when I open my rhino file in fusion 360 first, and then save to STEP.
But none of these things offer a complete solution.
