Rhino to 3ds Max Workflow : Blocks

Hello. Is there a way to export rhino blocks as instances in 3ds Max? I’ve tried obj,fbx,dwg & 3ds but can’t seem to make it work. I was wondering whether i’ve missed an option to export as instance. Thank you
