Rhino on macOS Sequoia anybody?

somehow i managed to skip the previous major release completely, mainly because Apple got really good at making things bad which immensely stunted my trust, but i am now ready to emerge with Sequoia and before i do that,

has anybody tried it with Rhino etc.?

I’m not seeing any issues with the actual functioning of the app - but Finder is lacking previews for all my Rhino files at this point.

I’m regularly getting the spinning wheel of death on initial load (minutes to load) and then when I navigate away from the Rhino window and back to it.

before the update to 15.1 did you have any issues? i am on 15.0 now and besides the silly thumbnails which i could not care less about (ok not that silly but also not that crucial) everything seems to work alright.

I upgraded from Sonoma. I would have issues occasionally. Now, the app is mostly unusable. Tried deleting and reinstalling, no improvements. 5+ min load times, locks up in the app at points and eventually has to be killed.

Things appear to be working better now. It seems that my issue may have been related to Google Drive. I’m not sure if it was trying to hold files open or blocking files, but once I killed that, my Rhino operations/times seemed to return to normal.

ok good to know, i was holding off with that update now thanks for letting me know.

Hi, does anyone at mcneel can confirm rhino 8 is fully compatible with macos sequoia ?
Macos 15.2 will be out soon, and I would like to upgrade, but don’t want to have rhino not working.
Hope I don’t have to wait for rhino 9

Hi Yann -

I’ve been running Rhino 8 on macOS 15.0.1 for a while without issues.
