Rhino Inside Revit Won't Download

Hello!

The following description might be overexplaining, as some of these steps are obvious, but I want the issue to be painted in as full of a picture as possible.

Some background information, which might potentially be the reason for this issue: I have an education license through my university: Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson) for both Rhino and Revit. I have renewed my Revit education license a few days ago. I have Revit 2025, and Rhino 7 on this computer.

I’ve tried downloading Rhino Inside Revit from the main download link, on the main website page: Rhino.Inside®.Revit

After clicking the button, logging in, and accepting terms and conditions, a file named “RhinoInside.Revit_1.21.8904.29048.msi” is downloaded.

I open this file, accept conditions, and click install. The program finishes the install process in about 2 seconds, and the finished download window opens up. I press finish, launch Revit, and I do not see the “RhinoInside” panel at the top of my screen.

I check the file location: “%ProgramData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins<2025>” for where the **RhinoInside.Revit" file should be located, but it does not exist.

I assumed that the program did not properly download, so I go back to my downloads folder and open the “RhinoInside.Revit_1.21.8904.29048.msi” file again. The file should open a pop up which informs me that I have previously downloaded the program, and give me options to delete it, or repair it. This does not happen in my case. The file goes through the download process of about 2-3 second again, as if I’ve never downloaded it previously.

I have tried this process three times, just in case, and the same thing happens each time. Would anyone know how to solve this issue, or has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thank you for your time, I really do appreciate it a lot.

Hi Marko,

I’ll send you a link to the Daily build to get you started.

Hi @Japhy, please would you send me the link to the Daily Build (1.22.x) as well.

I am experiencing similar issues as Marko. I am running Revit 2025 and Rhino 8 on Windows 11. I installed RhinoInside.Revit_1.21.8913.17015, however, when I launch Revit 2025 I don’t see RIR in the toolbar. Also, the RIR file is non-existent in the file location C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2025; I uninstalled and reinstalled RIR, rebooted the PC but the issue persists.

Any help is sincerely appreciated. Many thanks (in advance).

Same problem here on Windows 10, I also don’t see RiR in the addins folder for Revit 2025. I could use some help as well.

What installer are you trying? I sent the latest Service Release Candidate, but you should have access to it via other Revit versions.

I used RhinoInside.Revit_1.21.8913.17015.MSI, I was under the assumption that that would work for 2025.

I am using Revit 2025 version, and I am still not able to use Rhino inside Revit version 1.21.8913.17015. Please provide the link for the latest version that works for Revit 2025.

Sent, as mentioned the minimum version for install is 1.22, this is available for download in your Rhino.Inside.Revit options in pre-2025 Revit versions.
