My rhino starts to crash when trying to open grasshopper. I cannot even open grasshopper and it will only get to about 3% before it crashes the entire rhino app. I restarted my computer, un downloaded and re downloaded rhino and still nothing works. I have used grasshopper many times before this and I don’t know why.
I tried to download tttoolbox which is for windows and it downloaded and whenever it gets to that in the loading bar for grasshopper it crashes. I deleted it but grasshopper still tries to pull it and it crashes.
I’m on MacOS Version 7 (7.24.22283.10362, 2022-10-10).
- I downloaded tttoolbox-2030.gha and copied it to my Grasshopper Components folder.
- Rhino crashes as soon as Grasshopper Tries to load TTToolbox.
- Deleted TTToolbox from my Grasshopper Components folder and everything is back to normal.
How did you delete it? Grasshopper should not be trying to load it if it’s not in your Components folder.

Same here grasshopper crashes on opening mac os 12.6.3 iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) Fresh install makes no difference latest version of rhino 7
Are you using the latest tttoolbox?
No not using anything can’t even open grasshopper without it crashing, i can only use it via parallels on windows side
please open Rhino and type SystemInfo in the command line and paste the results here.

You have several 3rd party plugins, lets start by removing those then test before adding each one back in separately.
That didn’t work it maybe a grasshopper plugin perhaps from previous installation ?
What plugins are you running?
use the GrasshopperLoadOneByOne to troubleshoot.
My rhino (on macOS) crash when I run grasshopper after installed the latest version of TT Toolbox. With all others plug-in it run correctly.
Same thing happens here.
Also reports of the same behavior on maxOS in the reviews here:
Apparently not compatible with macOS even though the latest version lists “Rhino 7 Mac”.

Just to add this is happening to me as well on my m1 macbook pro 14". TT Toolbox is the cause of the crash. after uninstalling it works
Hi there, I know it is an older thread, but: is there a solution to this problem? Rhino crashes here, too, when I load Grasshopper with TTTools. Works when I remove the plugin. Downloaded the latest and tried again, still crashes. Even tried the WIN version, also crash.

Have you tried starting grasshopper with the GrasshopperLoadOneByOne command?
having the same problem, opening grasshopper and both rhino 8 n GH crashing. mac 32
SystemInfo is always helpful (run via Rhino Command Line)
3rd party plugins are typically the issue (disable via Setting>Plugins for Rhino, GH remove from the folder or try GrasshopperLoadOneByOne and say no to the 3rd party ones)
