Rhino changing my linetypes out of the blue

Hello,

I have encountered a completely new problem with the latest Rhino 8, which erases all the linetypes I have defined. Has this happened to anyone else and how to solve it?

In short, rhino resets all my linetypes into Default Continuous, out of the blue…

Strange.

Thank you in advance!

Please run the SystemInfo command and copy and paste the results here. Also any detailed steps to repeat the issue.

Thank you for your response!

ATTENTION:
Desktop is using the slower, less reliable integrated graphics device and probably needs a configuration change.

There is only one monitor detected, but it’s connected to the slower, integrated graphics video port.

  • Recommended: Unplug the monitor and plug it into one of the video ports on this device:

Thanks for the system info. It appears your installation is current. If you have any repeatable steps in which we can repeat the issue that would be helpful for starting the process of solving the issue.

What is weird is that it happened completely out of the blue and now whilst trying to put them back ,everything remains as continous line.

Here is an example of a previously dashed line, “STRECKAD_2” which should have spacis “2.00, 1.00”, however it remains as continuous no matter if I change the scale or no matter how many time I do it.

Thank you for your help!

that’s definitely interesting. Does the same thing happen if you run the Linetypes command and use that panel?

Is there a file you can share with me?

Hi Aino -

Did you try this recommendation?
-wim

I’ve been working with Aino directly and I’m thinking that getting SR13 installed will help.

Hello!
I have gotten the recent SR13 update but the problem stil occurs unfortunately.

We still haven’t been able to repeat the issue on our end. Are you able to repeat on a different computer?

Hello,
Yes the problem repeats in all my university computers, I have tried several.

Hello,
yes I tried this and pluggen into NVIDIA RTX A2000 without succes. The problem still occurs sadly.

Hello!
Problem has been solved! For reasons that are beyond me, changing the region settings from English (United States) to my location, English (Finland), solved the problem. The linetypes function correctly.

Thank you all for help!

Thanks for the info. Rhino shouldn’t care so this is a bug. I’ve created a ticket to get this fixed. Thanks for bird dogging it to the source of the issue. RH-84828

RH-84828 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 14
