I’m testing Rhino WIP 9.0.25294.6305 and some of the new hatch patterns have bizarre behavior.
Normal:
Broken(?):
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
I am running a little newer build and do not see anything wrong yet.
But, what is causing the change in the pattern? Is there a set of steps that happen?
I just updated the WIP version, I will update shortly if it still has the same issue.
Does this one work?

With the 9.0.25308.12305 I don’t have the previous issue, and the hatchtest.3dm shows the hatch properly. However, the scaling still seems to be really off depending on the hatch. For example, sand at scale 1.00 is massive while plywood is tiny.
This is a 1mx1m square with the file unit set to meters and the hatch scaling set to 1.00

This is a combination of various drafting scales and the meter template.
We would need to break this down to an specific example to see what scales make sense. This almost seems that the defaults in our Meter template do not make drafting sense. When looking at Dimension scales and Text scale is all a bit out of order to get a drafted drawing to look right.
This is a model set to meters.
What type of model is meant to be drawn here? Site plan? bridge?
Once drawn what scale would the model be printed at?
What page size? I expect page size would be set to mm.
I need to research this some more to try and understand what is happening.
Ok, I think I found the problem. In this case the Sand pattern does not have all the unit data in it. technically the sand is set to meters units. Give this pat file a try and see if it works better for you:
I can update the default sand if this works.
