I’ve been playing with Rhino 8 WIP, which is very exciting.
One thing I’ve noticed after trying to print a shiny new plan with an RCP, is that if the sheet is PDF’d and then opened/printed in Acrobat, all of the Solid Hatches disappear. Pattern hatches appear unaffected.
The same thing does not appear to happen if opened/printed in Preview.
That uses the macOS system for creating PDF files, and we have no control over that.
Does it behave differently if you use ExportAll to create the PDF file?
Apart from that…
Does that mean opened AND printed (to paper?)?
When opening your PDF file in Acrobat on my Windows machine, that appears to be correct:

Yes, it does print to paper with those conditions described. The way you have displayed my file in acrobat is not correct; attached is a screengrab of how it should appear and does appear in Preview - note the solid hatch fills in the figure and the solid white behind the pattern hatch:
“Does it behave differently if you use ExportAll to create the PDF file?”
Yes, it turns out that it appears correctly in both Preview and Acrobat.
Happy to use the ExportAll workaround I guess. I personally only use Acrobat to reduce file size, as I find it overbearing for anything else - but some in my team use it.
I wouldn’t call it a work-around. It’s the recommended workflow. I hope that we can override the macOS Print function at some time, but, so far, no luck…
