Copy the RUI file and rename it.
Open the renamed RUI file and check if the problem has disappeared.

Workaround: What worked for me was to save the RUI, then close Rhino and restart it. After doing this, I haven’t experienced the issue again. It seems like you get 50% of the save by closing Rhino and 50% by pressing save.

I haven’t tried renaming yet, but sometimes the error was gone, most of the not. But I’ll try the next time, this time I just hit reset,

I was on my way to test the difference between between 48pix vs 256 setup with the same icons to see the size difference, if 256 made it excessive large. More on that later. However I run into some problems when setting up first 48pix batch of test icons. For no good reason many of the icons turned grey. I tried a lot of different workarounds, copy the file, open them both and I got one that worked and one that did not i R9 okt10. Both opened well in R8 SR12. And in R9 the one with error start …

I also saw incorrect icon positions on one of my computers, until I just gave up with the .rui file and copied the entire %appdata% settings folder over.
