Rhino 8 not showing isocurves

I just installed R8 and noticed that it will not show isocurves on a planar surface IF I created the surface new in R8. If I open a previous R7 model in R8, they are shown. If I make a simple plane in R7, control C it and paste it into R8, they show up. But if I make the actual geometry in R8, they do not show up in R8. If I save that same plane from R8 back to R7, they show up in R7.
So it is ONLY new planar surfaces created in R8.
Any suggestions?

Why are Isocurves turned off by default in object properties if I have them on globally in the current viewport mode? How do I permanently turn them on? I do not wish to turn them on individually for each new created surface. I have also seen a thread on this forum about Rhino 8 WIP and isocurves turned off by default for planar surfaces. For me it doesn’t seem to be the case, both planar and non planar srf lack isocurves [ss]
