Does anyone have any idea why I’m getting different outputs in Rhino 7 and Rhino 8? I used the same input surfaces and the same components.
In Rhino 7, the result is a Closed Brep, but in Rhino 8, it’s an Open Extrusion?

Grasshopper 1 for Rhino 7 didn’t support extrusion objects. This was introduced in Rhino 8, so, yes, things are different.

In this example, the output is not an Open Extrusion but an Open Brep. Are you saying that the logic for extrusion has changed in Rhino 8?
I understand that extrusion objects were introduced in Rhino 8 to reduce storage usage, but I don’t know why there isn’t an option to choose between open extrusion (edge extrusion) and closed brep as an output.
