Hello,

custom display mode shadow only option is working in Rhino 7 with V-Ray as current render.
In Rhino 8 it seems not working.

Hi,

unfortunately the viewport API in Rhino 8 changed a bit - certain options work differently compared to Rhino 7. Up until V-Ray 6.20.02 this has not been accounted for.
A fix will be available in the next release, which is scheduled to be out very soon
