Oh man, @Japhy you are absolutely right. That did the trick. It was also crashing when rendering with the Apple M1 Max GPU set to on. Once I switched to the CPU, it did not crash when accessing Environments + Rendering panels and rendering a view. Just curious, is this expected to be fixed via Rhin…

Apple was notified right away and they were able to repeat. Hopefully 15.3.3, but haven’t heard any specific timeline.

@Japhy my co-worker has the same Macbook as me but not the latest Rhino build. I also noticed it happened after the latest update. Is there a way to downgrade to a previous build?

My understanding is that its related to the MacOs update and certain hardware, not a particular Rhino version.

I see. Hopefully it’s an easy nip tuck from Rhino as an update from Apple could take months as they just deployed 15.3.2 a few weeks ago. Thx

That’s right, I switched back to Metal and it’s stable again when I click on the Environment and Rendering panels and execute a raytraced render. See screenshot confirmation. [Screenshot 2025-03-26 at 10.01.01 AM]
