Rhino 8 crashes when opening grasshopper

I’ve had rhino 8 crashes daily everytime I open it the first time. This has happened in my laptop and work computers. I think it might be a pluging, but i’m not sure.

start by disabling all plugin that do not ship with Rhino.

restart Rhino and see if it crashes.

if not, enable one of the plugins that do not ship with Rhino (only one)

restart Rhino and see if it crashes.. repeat this will all plugins.

my bet is that D5 live sync is the bad actor (seen it before) but it could be any of the add ins.

once you identify who the bad actor is, simply disable that one, and look to the developer of that plugin for an update or tech support for that particular plugin.

Hi Johan -

By “it”, I take it you refer to Grasshopper?
If so, to troubleshoot issues when launching Grasshopper, you can use the GrasshopperLoadOneByOne command to block certain plug-ins to find out which one is causing the crash.
