Rhino 8 broken after Update 8.23.25251.13001

Hello there,

I am experiencing issues starting Rhino 8 after a recent update. I was trying to test whether the update would resolve a problem I have with Vector printing.

After the update, Rhino won’t start, and simple default plugins, such as the one below, will not work.

The only way that I can start Rhino is in safe mode, but that, of course, is not an option for doing real work.

I have tried repairing the installation, uninstalling everything, and starting from scratch again, but no luck. I have also uninstalled other plugins such as Enscape and Rhinolands, and I am getting the same result. The graphics card drivers have just been updated.

I am attaching my system information below (from Safe Mode). It would be great if someone could provide any light on this. Thank you

Hi Chris -

Please either try repairing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables from the Windows Control Panel, or installing the latest vc_redist.x64.exe from Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn
-wim

Awesome, that resolved the issue. I managed to get the update, and what’s even better, this latest version resolved my problem with printing vectors in PDF.

Thanks again.
