Rhino 7 problem with selecting an object

I have just upgraded to Rhino 7. When I select an object (to move it, for example) the control points turn on automatically. This is very inconvenient. How can I stop this from happening?

This is a setting that can be changed. Peruse the Tools/Options dialog to find it.

Thanks for your reply, Meno. I have looked at the Tools/Options dialog, but I can’t find anything which seems to help. Can you tell me exactly where to look, please?
