Rhino 7: Layer color not being applied to object

Display option is “by layer” in object properties and the layer is clearly green. Used to work on Rhino 6.
I also tried manually editing the object’s display color in the properties pane and that didn’t change it either.

Object type is .ply
Using evaluation version

Any help is appreciated, thanks

It may be a block instance with the color applied by object inside the definition. If it is a block instance, try BlockEdit (or explode the block if you want).

When I used to use Rhino 6 I somehow was not importing as block instance I guess…
