Rhino 7 huge pdf file sizes

I am exporting simple pdfs, few lines and hatches with filesizes exceeding megabytes. In rhino 6 large drawing pdf was in kilobytes.
It is even causing serious fps drops while viewing in acrobat.

200kb pdf from rhino 6:

6mb pdf from rhino 7:

There must be something wrong.

without hatches file size is reduced to 88kb… hatches are causing extreme increase in file size. why is that? this is not acceptable

Hello - the hatches in the file where they appear to be solid, are in fact very very dense line hatching - I would convert these to solid hatches and see how that works.
