Rhino 6 surface display issue

(Ulrik Montnemery) #1

I have just installed Rhino6 and have a display issue on surfaces. They are glitching a lot especially when orbiting the camera.

That looks like double geometry, or alternatively objects very far from world origin. If you attach your model we could check to see.

Moving it closer to origin solved the issue, thank you! However, I never had this problem in Rhino5, and in this case it’s a model with accurate coordinates and it is important that it stays in those correct coordinates.

Is there any other way of solving this while keeping the same coordinates?

I don’t know if there is a good way for that. But perhaps you could use a documented transform, or a macro that allows you to move the entire scene simply back and forth. Sorry that I don’t have a better idea. Maybe someone else has a brighter one?

Hello - there is a workaround on this page, which should be valid, still, in V6 I think- https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/farfromorigin

See, a much better workaround (:
