Rhino 6 Gumball Bug?

I am having problems with my gumball where it won’t allow me to use some of the functions. I can only use the directional arrows and the rotational arcs, while the scale handles, extrusion dots and the planar panning tools don’t work. Or rather I can’t hover over or select them to use. Unfortunately, the images attached are taken from my phone since I can’t capture the cursor while using snipping tool.

A possibly related issue I’m having is that the hitboxes for these unusable tools. It seems like I can actually hover over these tools but I have to hover my cursor at seemingly arbitrary positions, making me move my mouse around in the general area until I find the hitbox.

If anyone knows any solutions to this problem please let me know!

Hello - in the nVidia control panel, see if you can tell if the machine is using ‘high performance’ -

  1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop.
  2. Click NVIDIA Control Panel.
  3. On the left side, select Manage 3D Settings.
  4. Select the Global Settings tab
  5. Change the preferred graphics processor to “High-performance NVIDIA processor.”

Does that make any difference, if it was not set before?

-Pascal

Hi,

It was not set to “High-performance NVIDIA processor” but it doesn’t make any difference. It may be due to how small of a scale I was working at since the part I was modeling was about 2"x3"?

Nick

Hi Nick - see if disabling Lumion in Options > Plug-ins page, and then closing and reopening Rhino does any good.
