Hi All,
I am using a I-Mac 2017 edition with boot-camp windows with latest drivers and latest beta build of rhino 6. I am able to select AMD opencl for my Radeon pro 580 GPU. The issue is, the renders always come out black. I have tried ray-traced but it seems to never start. CPU rendering works for cycles and ray-traced fine.
I have also used cycles with this hardware with the latest blender version and everything renders correctly using the GPU as a render device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it’s annoying to have to export to blender to render an image. As GPU render time in blender is much faster then CPU in either programs.
AMD GPUs are a bit problematic, I am investigating as to why, I’d like to get full power from my RX 550. Unfortunately I haven’t been successful yet.
I haven’t had the GPU render black though. Are you running the latest drivers? For me Help > System Information reports:
