I am currently using the Mac OS 90 day free trail for Rhino3d because I am an upcoming architecture student and I wanted to get comfortable with the program. If I bought the license for my Mac OS, but then switched to my windows laptop (once I get it) would I have to rebuy the license?
Hi Elijah -
The license can be used on both macOS and Windows. You don’t need two different licenses.

To add another bit of detail: You can have Rhino installed on both machines simultaneously, but you can only use it on one machine at a time. You can have as many instances of Rhino open on that machine as you can fit in it. If your single license is managed over the internet by McNeel using the “cloud zoo” then you can switch between machines pretty much at will. You just can’t open Rhino on both machines at the same time.
Another thing that may be useful for you is that even after the free trial version expires it can still be used for viewing Rhino files and practicing rhino. The only difference is that it won’t save files. There may be some other restrictions on using plugins, but I’m not sure.
