Request: OffsetCrvOnSrf - add ExtendCrv option

Request: Add an ExtendCrv option to OffsetCrvOnSrf which would extend the offset curve to the edges of the surface. This would be equivalent to OffsetCrvOnSrf followed by ExtendCrvOnSrf.

Reason: When an edge of a surface or another curve which runs from edge to edge of surface is offset on the surface, one or both ends of the resulting curve may not be at an edge. If the offset curve will be used to split or trim the surface it needs to be extended.

This was logged as a Grasshopper issue. I reported it as a Rhino issue and it is an issue with the Rhino command OffsetCrvOnSrf.

Thanks for the reply. If a surface edge is selected as the curve to be offset then the curve does not extend automatically.

Added - Additional checking shows the automatic extension is inconsistent when a curve on the surface (not an edge) is selected.

That issue is on the list as RH-84888 OffsetCrvOnSrf does not extend if the surface is trimmed
