Mike here from GarageFarm.NET
Since our previous announcement, we have rendered quite a lot of scenes, added some new features, and fixed several bugs.
We support Rhino 5.13 and above, with V-Ray 3.4 and above
We added support for ‘bake + strip’ rendering mode. This means that the still image will be split into parts ( strips ), rendered on multiple nodes and then merged into the final image.
We added a Render Cost Calculator to the plugin’s options – you can get a rough cost estimate for your scene right from the plugin. Please note that it gives a very rough estimate. We recommend running a test in lower resolution to get a close cost estimation.
We added support for symlinks – assets are only copied by the plugin when they were not uploaded with previous iterations. This speeds up the plugin’s processes substantially.
We added support for all V-Ray’s GI solutions (Irradiance map, Light Cache, Brute force, with all possible combinations)
We added support for multi-cam scenes. Now you can render all your cameras in one upload from our plugin.
We added a progress bar for plugin operations and a summary prompt for missing textures and assets
We added support for VR Scans
- We fixed an issue with V-Ray proxy assets
- We fixed an issue with plugin startup on older Rhino versions ( 5.10 )
- We fixed the automatic V-Ray version detection on Rhino 6.x
- We fixed & extended support for non-latin characters (assets, scene, views, output)
- We fixed an issue with renaming textures to md5 for unsupported characters
At the moment our plugin supports rendering only still images on multiple nodes. We support rendering animations in Classic mode, where the scene is manually set up to render by our support team.
