Rendering in Rhino

I’m trying to transition from V-Ray to Rhino for rendering and I’m having a difficult time.
Hopefully you can help.
V8 - why are some of my objects seen in wireframe but others in shaded?

V7 - I can’t seem to make the glass globe red. Any idea why?

I solved the problem about V7 - I still had V-Ray selected as current renderer but I’m still confused about the wireframe / shaded issue in V8.

Post a .3dm file with the objects. Also run the Rhino command SystemInfo and post the results.

I used the “SetObjectDisplayMode” on all the objects and the larger sphere changed.

I tried that and got the same result as you so all is good here
