Reflecting light from mirror

Hi everyone,

I can’t seem to get light to bounce from a mirror onto the opposite wall. I have applied a polished chrome material to a surface with 100% reflection and aimed a spot light directly at it. But for some reason there is nothing beamed on to the opposite wall. I’ve fiddled about with decay settings and reflection settings, but nothing seems to solve it.

Any ideas?

What you are looking for is not a standard render effect. You need to work with caustic photons. Best you look for tutorials about this topic, for example this one:

Is it only experiment for you or do you need it for a project? I’m curious what your goal is. :wink:
