Recreate rib structure

Hi everyone!
I’m trying to create an structure similar to Zaha Hadid’s Hungerburgstation (image attached). I tried doing it with loads using Kangaroo but the meshes I get are pretty rough and difficult to control as I want… I did it in two parts, inflating the top part and taking some points of the initial surface to the ground and inflating again the bottom part.
I’m not sure if this is the right way to do it, I think using the ribs that the structure has would be easier, but I don’t know how could I do this using network surface or something similar, as it is open in the middle.
Could anyone give me some tips on this?
Thank you for your time

To recreate this type of shape see this

Or use Subd or TSplines

This looks nice! Thank you very much, I’ll give it a try!

there is absolutely no reason to build such shape in Grasshopper… Simply build it in Rhino, or use Sub-d/T-spline based technology. Blender provides Sub-D’s for free, Fusion360 has a free trial for T-splines.

How true (1 minute max with T-Splines (dead but alive))
