Question about an embossed surface

Hello everybody,
I am trying to create a surface like the one in the picture.

I know how to create it manually with rhino, but my aim is to understand how to control it with GH

I think first you should try to replicate the commands you’ve done in Rhino in Grasshopper and see how that works.
